Weekly review: week ends on 2010-07-18

The biggest failure of this week was that I did not follow the plan “being an early riser and having good sleep.” On weekdays, I barely managed to follow that habit (slept at 12 or 12:30, and got up at 7:30), however on Friday and Saturday, I stayed up too late (4 am) and got up too late (11 am). That’s really bad of me!

Work

  • [X] Email VEF and try to obtain program extension documents (for DS-2019).
  • [-] Take 5 lessons of the fundamentals of machine learning. Took 3 only.
  • [ ] Contact Satish @UTC if have not heard from him until the end of this week.
  • [ ] Work on bisim functions.
  • [-] Read current papers & research on temporal & verification. Read some of them.
  • [ ] try to read some HVAC.
  • [ ] try to read and implement other algorithms for demand-limiting control.
  • [ ] try to read a book on control & math.

Life

  • [ ] Habit: sleep before midnight and get up before 8am. Get out of bed immediately after waking up. Hmm, see the comment at the top.
  • [-] Habit: short morning exercise (10′) everyday.
  • [ ] Habit: learn language everyday.
  • [-] Habit: work-out at least 3 times (besides Kempo), either @gym or @home. [low priority] I nearly got sick during the week, but I managed to go swimming once.
  • [ ] Finish clean-up of my bathroom by weekend.
  • [-] Eat well, eat enough vegetables & fruits.
  • [X] Shop for groceries and prepare/cook food @weekend (if the beach trip is not re-scheduled for Sunday).
  • [ ] Put stuffs on ebay [low priority].
  • [-] Read-read-read [low priority].
  • [ ] Learn some photography [low priority].

Relationship

  • [X] Should finalize Le’s plan to West coast (with Dung Vo & my parents).
  • [X] Call my mom at least once.
