Weekly review: week from 2011-10-03 to 09

Again, I failed to keep a regular schedule and balance between work and (personal) life. I really need to learn to stop working and thinking about work after a certain hour at night.

Last week

  • Work
    • [X] Future research plan: directions, scope, applications, simulation (E+), etc. Update the mindmap.
    • [-] Confirm the role of M.
    • [X] Preliminary results or promising approaches to extend my work (future research plan); in particular, hierarchical scheduling, multiple modes, systems with dense matrices, system ID, adaptive.
    • [X] Updated BibTeX library of my own publications.
    • [X] Set up new system for my webpage.
    • [ ] (optional) Read math & optimal control.
    • Pending: attracting set for schedulability of more general dynamics, ML – bandit, tech report for CDC paper, update personal website and CV, mechanism design, develop my urgency-based scheduling idea.
  • Life (Still FAILED)
    • [ ] Go to bed early and rise early.
    • [ ] Eat well.
    • [ ] Exercise and regular breaks.
    • [X] Finish and send guest list.

Plan for next week

  • Work
    • [ ] Solve and write up new extension result.
    • [ ] Update research plan (mind map): hierarchical scheduling, multiple modes, dense systems, robust, system ID, adaptive, applications, implementation/simulation, etc.
    • [ ] Update to-read list and BibTeX library.
    • [ ] Committee (ask to meet).
    • [ ] Course planning guide (complete).
    • [ ] Poster for CPS symposium and prepare to meet people.
    • [ ] Submit DS application.
    • [ ] (optional) Read math & optimal control.
    • Pending: attracting set for schedulability of more general dynamics, ML – bandit, tech report for CDC paper, update personal website and CV, mechanism design, develop my urgency-based scheduling idea.
  • Personal
    • [ ] Go to bed early and rise early.
    • [ ] Eat well.
